Kinetograms
Kinetograms ('movement drawings') is a study of physics, composition, movement and chance. It was released on fx(hash) on August 2nd 2022 as generative token 17478 with an edition number of 500. The last iteration was minted on August 3rd.
A Kinetogram is like a board with a box containing a set of rectangular and/or circular pieces. The Kinetogram is tilted and the movements of the pieces are traced.
A Kinetogram always starts with the same pieces, colors and forces, but never ends up exactly the same way twice because of how the pieces move at that particular time, analogously to how the pieces would move slightly differently if you moved the box and and set it up again.
In some Kinetograms, there is an attractor piece pulling the other pieces towards it. In some, the box is divided horizontally and/or vertically by separators. In some, there is also shaking after a set time.
Some Kinetograms are partially or completely reflected, vertically or horizontally, some with chromatic replacement. The aspect ratio is 3:4. The palettes are predominantly based on found textile patterns.
In interactive mode, press 's' to save a png image. Press 'e' to redraw and export a 4K png image. Press 't' to tilt the board in a new direction and 'c' to clear the drawing.
